Ben is our son's "big brother" and had a huge influence on his growing into the person who with us, is sad with this news. We will miss him - but one day know we will all be together again.

Ben, Dale and family. I was so sorry to hear of Ben's passing. I learned of it from my daughter Jennifer DuRocher who worked with Ben at Select Hospital. She often spoke of the pharmacist from Racine that she became friends with after she started working there, but I did not know this was your son until she sent me the obituary. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you both and the rest of his family. May God hold all of you in the palm of his hand. Kathy Belland, Kiel, WI

Dear Johnson Family, The last time I saw Ben was at our cabin in Cataract, WI, where he came for deer hunting last year. He had been a best friend to my son John and in the past couple years he had befriended our other son Sam and opened up a job for him in the pharmacy at Select Hospital. Sam will miss him so because he worked with him daily and loved him. John is 8 years younger than Ben and Ben had mentored him in High School, so we often talked of Ben Johnson in our home. He was like the golden boy to us...so smart, handsome, athletic, outstanding in his profession, and a solid Christian....and last but not least, he knew how to get a bargain! If we had to buy anything fairly big around our house, I'd say to John, "Ask Ben what he thinks." Then when John grew up and went into the Air Force, Sam took John's place and I'd be asking Sam to ask Ben what he thinks. We loved to hear stories about Ben's little girls for John and Sam thought they were so adorable and precocious. Ben had a big influence in the lives of our two sons. We loved him because our boys loved him, and he was such a good and generous friend to them. I can't tell you how sad we were to hear of his passing. So so many people are praying for your family. Dear Johnson Family - I am so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Ben. It has been many, many years since we'd last seen each other, but had reconnected thru Facebook. I remember Ben so well from the years growing up in Aldebron neighborhood - bikes rides, ghost in the graveyard, the annual BBQ at the pond - as well as in high school. He was always one of the "nice" neighborhood boys who wasn't mean and rough! I pray for peace and God's love for your family, his wife and his girls
