My sincere condolences to the Barr family I will never forget the BEST hug anyone could ask for at a chilly Track Meet! Such an amazing man who made my nearly 30 years in the world of T&F that much better just by knowing he was around and ready to offer up encouraging words and smiles to so many. Steve was a wonderful person, and a good friend of mine. I was with him on the first JMM Cross Country team he coached in 1970. Steve was always cheerful, and was very proud of his family. I will miss my phone calls with Steve. I will miss Steve. Sincerely, and with love, Dirk Seibold

I remember Steve as a great guy and a good friend to all he came to know, not only to my brother, who passed away in July of 2014, but to all his buddies.
