Bert lived 28 years with the tumor!!! Early in the morning of October 30, Bert made a big home run to his heavenly home. Bert loved Jesus and He loved Bert. We must now learn to live with his big heart in ours. To enjoy our earthly life like he did with courage and grace and that inner contentment he always had. God comes to us through each other. May we feel God’s love through others. Bert’s journey was extended due to the kind and compassionate care he received, which was led by his loving wife, Carol, and supported by the doctors, nurses and other health care providers who cared for him.

Bert enjoyed nature and outdoor activities. He loved to go hunting and fishing, often sharing these hobbies with his son and friends. He also enjoyed playing softball and was in several different leagues. Card playing, and spending time with friends and family were also some of Bert’s passions.
