Alfred "Bud" Nelson

Bud and Grethe have been our neighbors and friends for over 40 years. His smile has always been gentle and true. He loved taking care of his lawn and property and helped show us how to do the same. Once, I accidentally broke a window in Bud and Grethe's garage while they were gone. I was so embarrassed! I fixed it before they got back. Bud was very understanding and told me not to feel bad about it and that I hadn't needed to go to the trouble of fixing it. But, I'm glad I did. He was so concerned about how I felt that he made me feel better about my clumsiness. I'm reminded of a Vince Gill song that says: "Go rest high on that mountain. Your work on earth is done." Julie

Allfred was such a kind, warm and caring man. He'd often come into Public Works or call to ask a question and then we'd end up chatting for a bit. I was always so happy to see him when he'd show up - he had a special place in my heart. I will miss our talks and your sweet soul. Rest in peace Alfred, you will certainly be missed.
