Obituary
On September 6, 2026, Roger Dean Adkins passed away at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Surrounded by his loved ones, he peacefully ascended into his heavenly eternity.
Roger was born on September 15, 1961, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Doris Karine and Alva Lowell. He grew up alongside his three siblings, Mike, Tom, and Linda. Early in his life, Roger and his family moved to Lockridge, Iowa, where he met the love of his life, Tammy.
Their young love quickly grew into a family of their own. Roger and Tammy welcomed their son, Brandon, followed by their daughter, Erin. The family later moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where Roger attended Rhema Bible College.
Upon graduation, he and his family returned to the Quad Cities where he worked at LeClaire Manufacturing, dedicating 32 years of his life. Alongside his full-time work, Roger felt called to plant a church in the Quad Cities, allowing his faith to become an important part of the lives of those around him.
Roger took pride in his ministry and his congregation. He adored his church family, and every Sunday morning was a gift to him. He dedicated so much of his life toward his church, and his congregation brought him such immense joy.
Roger loved trying weird foods, traveling, studying the Bible, and spending time with his family. But nothing brought him more joy than riding his one-of-a-kind Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He and Tammy would often take day trips together, enjoying the wind in their hair and the open road beneath them.
Roger had a gift for making friends wherever he went. He never failed to put a smile on a stranger’s face, and his warmth and humor left an impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Nothing gave Roger more pride and joy than his four grandchildren: Sadie, Milo, Wesley, and Madeline. They were among the greatest treasures of his life.
Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Doris; his father, Alva; and his brother, Tom.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Tammy; his son, Brandon (Pamela); his daughter, Erin (Adam); his grandchildren, Sadie, Milo, Wesley, and Madeline; his brother, Mike; and his sister, Linda.
Roger leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, laughter, family, and friendship. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
