Harold Robert Meyer passed away of natural causes on August 29, 2026. Born in Hammond, Ind., on September 23, 1951, his family moved from Milwaukee to Detroit then Lebanon, Tenn., where he graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy.

Harold moved to the Madison - Middletown area in the ‘70s and stayed for the rest of his life. As a graduate from MATC, he was trained to be a machinist, worked with several businesses before starting his own. Playing the guitar and singing, especially at church events, was a source of pleasure for him. He was a member of Dale Heights Presbyterian Church and later High Point Church, where he served as sexton for a number of years.

Harold is survived by his sister, Sally Marshall (Robert); niece, Sarah Marshall; and nephew, Drew Marshall, all of Wilmington, Del. Harold served as a father figure to Eric Mohr and worked to provide for his well-being.
