Mary,Carl and I send our love to the entire families of Bob. He was the ultimate Wisconsin sports team’s fan. He loved each and every team in Wisconsin. Way back I picked him up to go fishing at White Birch Lakes resort and we had a great chat all the way up north about fishing and his career. He loved each his family dearly. Kind, gentle, loving, and caring are only a few words to describe Bob. We will miss you but know you are pulling for our teams and families. Mary, all our love and hugs. Bob is in our prayers

Bob was like a father to me. Since losing my father in 1983 Bob unknowingly filled that role. I visited Bob several times @ week and learned a lot about life. He will be sadly missed.

If I’m being totally honest, I find it difficult to write this without tearing up or even finding the correct language in the English vocabulary to fully express how great of a man my Uncle Bob is. The one word that keeps rising to the top is virtue. My uncle fully embodies everything that is moral, everything that is kind, everything that is right and good in humankind. Something I would imagine he inherited from my grandfather. I was quite young when he had passed and wouldn’t have taken notice of any of these things, but I’ve always felt I somehow knew him just by the way my uncle conducted himself. As I get older and take note of things of the past, and get a clearer view of things that matter, I can see these same virtuous characteristics in all of my cousins. In my limited interaction with their children, I can even pick it up in them. What a legacy to behold. A legacy certainly worth mentioning. And a legacy most certainly worth living. Just by writing these words, I find my tears have given way to a slight smile. Knowing heaven received a new resident, yet his legacy still lingers gives me hope in humanity. It also makes me want to be a better man……after all, that is quite the legacy to carry out.
