Obituary
MIDDLETON - Debbie Lynn Maier, age 65, of Middleton, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on May 11, 1960, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Field and Carolyn (Heitsch) Morey.
Debbie graduated from Middleton High School in 1978. She was united in marriage to Dale Maier on September 13th, 1986, in Cross Plains. She worked as an office manager for Morey Airplane Company for 19 years.
Debbie loved spending time outdoors, from camping trips, bike rides, walks with her granddaughter, to traveling the world. She did all of that alongside her loving husband, Dale. They met in high school, and from the moment she set eyes on him, she was determined he would be hers. She loved her family more than life itself; she was the ultimate role model to look up too. She spent her recent years with her mini side kick Demi (granddaughter). They spent countless hours laughing and smiling together. She lived a life worth sharing and remembering and that’s what we will continue to do. She loved spending time with family and friends and being the life of the party. She loved shopping and would find the best deal in town.
Debbie was a giver to the highest degree. Even at the end of her life, she was an organ donor, giving those in need another opportunity to continue living their lives.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Dale; daughter, Deedee (Derik) Wriedt; sons, Dane (Kari) Maier and Dylan Maier; granddaughter, Demi; father, Field; brother, Rich Morey; and niece, Jane Sailor-Morey. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
