MADISON / Freeport, Ill. - Nickole Jolonda Chinn, age 51, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on October 9, 1973, in Janesville, Wis., the daughter of Thomas and Londa (Elmer) Chinn.
Nickole was a graduate of Madison West High School. She worked as a lab technician for Exact Sciences and was an extremely hard worker, never calling in sick, and always showing up early. In her free time, she loved fixing up her house and was into "do it yourself" projects. She wanted things to be done in a particular way and wasn't one to need or receive much help. Nothing could stop Nickole from achieving her dreams. She was an unstoppable force.
Family and friends were most important to Nickole, along with her two dogs. She was a proud mother to Deondrae and loved him unconditionally. She was a loyal friend and a proud grandmother to her granddaughter, Jazirah.
Nickole is survived by her son, Deondrae Bell; sisters, Janelle Chinn and Darci Chinn; granddaughter, Jazirah Nickole Bell; nieces and nephews, Kalel Brown, Kdeion Daniels, Alethea Richardson, Irie Tucker, Aamira Tucker, Zuri Tucker and Kylee Jensen; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Shelli Rae Vinje.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service on Friday.
