MADISON - Nancy Jane Thompson, age 83, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024. She was born on July 22, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Paul and Helen (Tenant) Perlberg. Nancy grew up in Hales Corners and graduated from West Milwaukee High School in 1959. She later attended UW- Madison.

After college Nancy met her husband, Wayne Thompson, while working the reception desk at Walter Maddox where he worked as an accountant. For the next 37 years she carried on his legacy of life, love and family on her own.

Nancy was fun, quick-witted and a great cook. She loved The Young and the Restless, Jeopardy! and Regis Philbin during the week and boating with family and friends on the weekends. More than fair-weather fans, she and Wayne were proud Badgers football and hockey season ticket holders. All three daughters would go on to graduate from UW-Madison.
