Gale was an awesome cousin and friend. I always enjoyed our gatherings around lakes, parks, and exploring many city adventures around Wisconsin! RIP Gale

Gale was a more subtle and steady version of his name. If the first quality of love is 'Love is patient" then Gale reminded us of the starting place of love - and the starting point of faith, which is hope. He lived in hope.

Gale had a positive and constant impact on so many lives, young and old. He was a truely amazing person. In our family, he left a legacy of countless woodworking and craft projects that he gifted us at Christmas. Most are still in use or displayed to this day.
As a young boy, I remember looking up to Gale as a big brother (15 years older) that I respected and wanted to emulate.
Being so much older than me he was like a Dad to me..... but a really fun one. I have memories of sitting on the front of his Harley seat as he took me for a ride (no helmets).... one hand on each gas tank cap, and feet on the role bar. I remember one time we stopped at a stop sign and I noticed that my feet had slipped off the role bar and onto the engine. The sole of my brand new tennis shoes had melted. A sad and tramatic moment for a young boy, but Gale assured me it would be alright, and Mom would buy me new ones. I recall so many fun times with my BIG brother.

Sorry for your loss. I worked with gale at the DNR and fondly remember him stopping at Ripon Good Cookies to bring them to the office. He was a great person to work with.
