I never beat Steve in golf. He tees his ball super high and swings like Baby Ruth going for the fence. Once inside 160 yards my good friend Steve was deadly accurate. Steve loved to quote Bugs Bunny many times once on the green in 2.
The line was .. Are you the fast shot in the west? Steve while lowing his golf club at his side like a sword says.. I BE…. Matthew Wayne.

“T” … you were one of my best friends and one of my favorites. We spent allot time together for few years enjoying many things including “The Rinker” boat we owned together. I’ve always cherished those years and have missed you tremendously. Life and time separated us but I loved you like a brother. Wish I had known you better in our real adult life. You always had a way of making me laugh and we laughed allot!
You have been and always will be missed my friend. I hope you are one my 14 that meets me at the gates of Heaven. Love you dude.
To the family I’m so sorry for your loss. He was special to many of us. May you find peace and cherish his memory. I will.

I remember watching a very young Stephen play Atari video games with his older brother Scott at my parents house during a visit. In the game, dragons chased the player through a castle while the player runs from room to room collecting gems. When Stephen was playing and he would encounter a dragon, he’d drop the controller and physically scoot back and away on the couch. Needless to say, it didn’t end well for his video character. But it was sure entertaining - big smiles and laughter - very sweet little boy and man. So sorry to learn this sad news. I will miss him. Love and condolences to all. ❤️

Steve was always “T” to me. There were so many good times at East, on the golf course, at work after at Elliot range, then playing sports at RVC and many many nights in between, there’s no way to select a singular moment. He had the unique ability to have way different friend groups, and go between them seamlessly which back in that day wasn’t always as easy as he made it. I was shocked to hear the news. Unfortunately we grew apart after HS as we both went different directions in life although that doesn’t make this news any easier. He was a special person who was loved by many, myself included. RIP T and to his family please accept my sincere condolences. Mark “Pill” Milbourn
