Obituary

STOUGHTON - Roger Alan Evenson, age 59, of Stoughton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, at SSM Health-St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on Jan. 30, 1964, in Fort Atkinson, the son of Norman and Verna (Nettum) Evenson.


Roger graduated from Cambridge High School in 1982.  He was united in marriage to Coral Slagg on Oct. 9, 1999, in Albion. He worked as a welder for Stoughton Trailers.


Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was an avid Packers, Brewers and NASCAR fan. He especially loved spending time with his family.


Roger is survived by his wife, Coral; daughters, Taylor Evenson and Autumn Evenson; brother, Jerry Evenson; four sisters, Suzanne (Allan) Falk, Bonnie (Ernie) Kojo, Joy (Dennis) Graffin and June (Terry) Winkel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Verna; and sister-in-law, Allison Evenson.


A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N.  @ Jackson St., Stoughton, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

Roger, you made me the welder that I am today, I made a lot of mistakes in the beginning and u never got mad you would just that big smile and laugh and see how the heck did you do that I will forever be grateful, no matter how busy you were with everything going on during the day you took the time to show me the right way now it’s up to me to pass on to the next generation what you passed on to me thank you may you rest in peace

I am at a loss on hearing of your passing Roger. You are by far the nicest guy I have met and worked with. You always had a smile and a laugh to give everyone……especially if they did something that lacked common sense!! Roger been together since kindergarten, Sunday school, conformation,church always been friends always had a lot first together wrestling, basketball,football,first beer , swisher sweet , cigarette , double dated.
