I’m so sorry for anyone in my family to experience loss and will forever hold uncle Nick and his laid back nature in my thoughts 😊 Great job Jeannie and the boys for bringing him to a peaceful resting place. A few memories I will forever recall when I think of uncle Nick … When Jesse and I were young, I remember going to Jeannie and Nicks house on Century Avenue. As I remember, Nick was babysitting us 😊 Nick wasn’t a man of many words or hoopla as stated 😊 Anyway, I’ll never forget this evening sitting on Nick's lap in the living room and not much was going on not sure where anyone else was either. Anyway, Nick and I were listening to the radio and Celebration by Kool and the Gang was on the radio. I remember quietly hanging out on Nick's lap that night and listening to this song. Ever since then, whenever that song comes on the radio I think of uncle Nick. Another memory of Nick was Christmas as a child. Mom and dad told my brother and me one year we needed to get to bed quick or Santa may not come to our house lol. Soooo, like kids do we were not sleeping! We were waiting for Santa peeking through the crack on the door! We heard a tap at the door and with our eyes peeled in the crack in the door uncle Nick came in fully dressed up as Santa 😊 with a dark pair of shades on! I remember thinking that can’t be Santa he doesn’t wear sunglasses 😊 He will be missed

I grew up with Nick on Hartman Court in Racine during the 1960's. He was a nice person, always involved with the neighborhood kids. He was always low key but always listening and learning from the older kids. Nick, Jeannie, Steve were part of our neighborhood group of at least 30 kids always playing and having fun. My memories of Nick will be with me forever and he will be truly missed. Jesse Mireles
