Stephen Fleck

Steve and Gille Dubh were both my best friends at the complex where we lived. The bonding that he and his dog shared was not something I have rarely seen before - it was really something to see. Steve was one of the best and kindest men I have ever known and he will be missed for a very long time. My sincere condolences to his family and other friends.

I'm already missing your tender attitude, that crazy mischievous grin and the thing you used to do with your eyebrows that always made me giggle and your deep thinking. May God wrap His heart around you gentle giant and hold you close. Love to you. Cath

The highlight of my early childhood was the time I spent playing my cousin Steve at our grandparents or around the railroad tracks behind Steve’s house. We moved away after my 4th grade year and I eventually lost the connection. I still vividly recall his mischievous laugh and see an echo of it in my own son that will now be a reminder of his life cut short and the lost chance for reconnecting while I still could have.
