Gerald Platt

To Marlene, Natalie, Heather and the entire Platt family: A very big salute to Jerry! I am so sorry to hear of the passing of this wonderful man. I loved stopping at his stand at the Dane County Farmers' Market, where each week we would exclaim (or complain) about the Packers, tell jokes, and share stories. He was always giving me a free squash or an extra tomato. He always made my day a better one. I will remember him with much fondness and appreciation--a man of great substance and kindness, to be sure. I so wish I could be at his memorial! I'll be out of town, but will raise a toast to Jerry, and to all of you. Warm condolences, Terese Allen

My deepest sympathy to the entire Platt family. I have the best memories from childhood there and much of it centered around your family. Whether it was down the street in the pool, at the farm, cabin or Sanibel, "Mr. Platt" was a wonderful man. He was family.
