Grace Mae Brezenski

I had the joy, honor, and privilege to be Grace’s first grade teacher. I will always remember her smiles, her sneaky ways of trying to avoid math class, how much she loved reading with her classmates, and how she enjoyed music. Grace taught us all so much about compassion, inclusion, and how to fearlessly face challenges. I had to make a daily schedule for being Grace’s partner to avoid arguments. Everyone always wanted to be with their dear friend Grace! I treasure the times when she was line leader so I could hold her hand in the hall. I am forever changed for the better as a teacher and as a human being because of Amazing Grace. She will always be in my heart. I love you, Gracie Mae!
