Patrick Passini

PRAIRE DU SAC - Patrick Passini was a competitor.

The first born to Satimo and Mabel Passini, he set the example for his siblings, James, Michael, Timothy, and Kathleen to be loyal, hardworking, and a good teammate. Pat relished competition in all forms. He was a four-year letter winner with the Middleton High School Baseball team and shared his passion for the sport by coaching many young men on the Middleton Home Talent team whom he treated like sons,

teaching them the fine points of the game, conducting Saturday night bed checks, and leading them to three Home Talent Championships. Pat was also a scratch bowler. He had multiple 700 series and a perfect 300 game.

Pat worked his entire career as a laborer for Sullivan Construction and Ideal Builders where he was a valued member of a team of hard workers that built many successful projects in the area. He also found time to bowl, hunt, fish, golf, garden, and support family members in their various sporting events. He generously shared the harvest from his fishing and gardening efforts. The fish and vegetables were delicious and plentiful, and Pat was a great chef.

In retirement, Pat lived in Wisconsin and Florida. Hole No. 12 at Lake Wisconsin Country Club will always be a special spot where he made his hole in one. Pat had a compulsion when it came to divots; they must be filled. He and his pride and joy Yorkie, Sparta, would search them out and fill them all. Sparta was his constant companion and was treated like family. Pat was honest in his convictions and whether someone agreed with him or not, they always knew where he stood. If you spent any time with Pat, you also knew he was a fan of a good wager and would cheerfully collect when he won and pay up when he lost.

Pat is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marilyn née Endres (Statz); children, Mitch and Mona (Mike); grandchildren, RJ (Carly), A’na Lea (Eric), Eli and Jossi (Mikey); great-grandchildren, Natti, Levi, Colt, and another great-grandchild expected in November. Pat is also survived by brothers, James, Michael (Myleen) and Timothy (Sara); sister, Kathleen (John) Simon; along with nieces and nephews, Todd, Emi, Mika, Kenji, Lia, Maya, Kyle, Kayla and Kodey. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Satimo and Mabel Passini; and sister-in-law, Lynette.

A celebration of life will take place at LAKE WISCONSIN COUNTRY CLUB, N1076 Golf Road, Prairie du Sac, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022. “PP” would like to buy the last round for his friends and family. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
