What I remember most about Roger is his kind smile, generous spirit and how very much he loved to laugh...especially if you were the subject of being teased! It was all in good fun, and it makes me smile now just thinking of it! In the days ahead I will miss hearing Debbie say, "oh Rog!" as we all hammed it up about a joke he made. 🙂 Truly, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine." Proverbs 17:22a. His life and his joy was a medicine to many lives. I can hear echos of conversation during holidays as he reminisced of all the hard working days on the farm growing up. I can still picture him riding a tractor or a four wheeler, eating his favorite ice cream, and of course making a run to the cheese store for some of the best cheese on earth. I remember many years of listening to him rave about Nascar or good 'ole Badger football. Roger may not have shared alot verbally from his heart, but what he did share through the joy of his countenance and his life meant so much more to me. We love you Roger, and will see you soon with our Heavenly Father. Sending much love from across the miles, Judy Bowen

I remember going on cruises with my Uncle Roger. It was always so much fun. When I was a teenager my sister and I stayed in their room and we were so excited because he let us go to the midnight buffet with him and then get pizza! I was also so grateful he could be apart of us announcing us having a baby many years later in a cruise. Love you Uncle Roger. I can’t wait to see you in heaven.
