Obituary
STOUGHTON - Roger Lee Meyer, age 73, of Stoughton, went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Rock Dam Lake (a place he loved). He was born on Feb. 24, 1949, in Madison, the son of Robert and Gwendolyn (Richards) Meyer.
Roger graduated from Stoughton High School in 1967. He married Debra Sailing in Verona, Wis., on Aug. 7, 1976. Roger was a dairy farmer working on the Meyer Family Farm on Highway 138, Stoughton. He also worked at Bancroft Dairy and Stoughton Trailer.
Roger was a very generous man. He was hardworking and always had his sleeves rolled up. He loved cheese, ice cream and cruising. More importantly serving in his church in many capacities.
Roger is survived by his wife, Debra; sons, Jason Meyer and Andrew Meyer; brothers, Curtis (Pam) Meyer and Robert (Angela) Meyer III; brother-in-law, David (Cheryl) Sailing; sisters-in- law, Doris Tomas and Diane (Cory Betz) Sailing. He is further survived by 17 nieces and nephews, and 24 great-nieces and nephews. He was a friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHURCH, 201 S. Main St., Verona, at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. A private family burial will be held. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
