I worked with Mel, at the state, on the KIDS Project, back in the 1990's. I had just started watching Badger Hockey. When he found that out, that was the start of our discussions about his boys and all the hockey trips he was going on. I learned a lot from him. I still love watching hockey to this day, and know why Mel loved it so much too! Drop the puck! -Jodi Ross

So sorry for your loss. A Great Man, he will be missed. I worked with Mel in the early days of the KIDS system. He was knowledgeable about the work and became a friendly person to chat with. I remember him talking Hockey. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss.

I remember talking with him many times on the phone back in the day with KIDS issues. Was always so nice and helpful on the phone. Prayers for his family.
