Diane Collelo-Paskey

KRONENWETTER - Diane Collelo-Paskey, age 54, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, due to complications from stage four pancreatic cancer. Diane is survived by her spouse, Keith Paskey; son, Brandon Paskey; and daughter, Christa Paskey. It would be wrong to say that Diane lost her battle, as she never stopped fighting. She was determined.

Diane was born on April 11, 1967, in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1986. Diane married Keith Paskey on January 13, 1993, at True Faith Wedding Chapel in Lancaster, CA. As a Type One Diabetic since the age of three, Diane lived to the fullest by following the motto, “She believed she could, so she did.” Diane spent her career as a passionate and perceptive Registered Nurse, impacting the lives of countless patients by educating them and setting them up for success. She gained a positive reputation through her meaningful influence in the lives of others.

Diane dedicated her life to her family. She was the family sounding board, schedule keeper, and avid cheerleader for Brandon and Christa’s school academics, arts, and sports activities. Traveling as a family meant the world to her. Special to her heart were family vacations that allowed the family to bond and make countless memories. Diane’s family made frequent trips to Walt Disney World. On a trip to Florida, she experienced her dream of swimming with dolphins. She loved road trips with Keith. Diane made sure the family gathered for dinner. It was important to her that the family came together to share how their day went. Diane enjoyed volunteering with many organizations, walking, and making crafts with friends and family. She decorated for every holiday and season; there wasn’t a holiday she didn’t have decorations for! Diane used every opportunity to live in the moment.

“My cancer does not own me, I own it.” was the saying that resonated with Diane as it applies to all health issues, especially her battle with pancreatic cancer. She never let the disease take over without a fight. Diane was always an advocate for her medical treatment working eagerly with her medical team.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5062 Texas Longhorn Drive, Westport, at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022. Pastor Lance Hoelscher of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Weston, Wis., will officiate. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. until the start of the service on Monday. Interment will follow the service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 502 Sauk St., Lodi.
