Jeff was a special person and I am grateful that I knew him and benefited from his knowledge of forestry. I met him when we bought woodland and was able to obtain advice from Jeff and interview him for articles to pass information along to other woodland owners. I also learned about his photography and admired his skill with a camera. I am very pleased to have known Jeff and want to pass along condolences to his family. I'm heartbroken to have learned that my good friend and all-around Middleton Good Neighbor Jeff Martin passed away today. Jeff will be sorely missed in this community--such a positive spirit and always a smile and a good word. He and Jan Martin together have been outstanding residents and friends to many with so much good work accomplished. Jeff freely gave of his time for the Middleton Area Historical Society having served as president for the past 5 years. Also, he could always be seen around town taking pictures that would show up in the Middleton Times-Tribune and the Middleton Review. We'll truly miss you Jeff, and I'll still be looking for you in spirit at those pie and ice cream socials. My heart goes out to Jan and the family in mourning this wonderful soul, neighbor, community member, husband, father and grandfather.
