My heart goes out to Steven and Suzie on the loss of their amazing father, Ernie. I met Ernie and his children at the Fresenius Kidney Clinic, after my mother started dialysis. I was happy to meet Ernie, because he had been on dialysis a long time and was older than my mother. Seeing Ernie, gave me hope for her future. Over the years, I've so much enjoyed talking with Ernie and hearing his stories. We were so amazed that Ernie was driving himself to dialysis in his 90s. Ernie had a remarkable zest for life. Watching his dialysis journey was truly inspirational. Ernie told me he would keep coming to dialysis, because "you never know what tomorrow might bring." When he left on Saturday, Ernie said to me, "I'll be back on Monday if I'm able." When he did not arrive on Monday, I worried. It wasn't until today that I learned of his passing on Tuesday, Christmas Eve Day. I will miss your father, his wisdom, his will to live, and his stories. His presence was a light that shown with goodness and steadfast hope. Blessed is his memory., Ann

We were so saddened to hear of Ernie's passing. We had just visited him at the nursing home a couple weeks ago. He was always so glad to see us and always had great stories to share. He'd had an injury at the nursing home that left his arm terribly swollen and sore. Ernie was always in good spirits even when he was in great pain. We were always amazed how much Ernie knew. He was so knowledgeable about everything. We'll miss you dearly Ernie.

We are so sorry for your lose of your Dad Steve and Suzie. We always enjoyed talking to him at the farm, recycle center and Ingelside. I think he was able to get the full life out of any mower and he definitely got a full life with his family and friends and cats. We will dearly miss him.

Ernie was always positive, friendly. Years ago when he worked at Stewart Park we became friends. As he parked his car in front of my office as he met his friends at Finks, we continued our hi, how are you. He will be missed.
