It was about two decades ago that our mutual love of animals brought us together, and Betty and I became instant friends. She was a warm, loving woman, who would always have your back in times of need. My favorite memory of Betty will always be her visit to my home in upstate New York. She sat at my kitchen table, and my Siamese cat, Pree, leapt right to her lap. She adopted “Miss Betty” at that moment, and owned the lap through her entire visit. If Pree approved, you knew you were looking at someone who was goodness to the depth of their soul. I know that goodness will continue to shine on Betty’s loved ones from Heaven. Journey on, my dear friend. May your lap always be warmed by your beloved pets gone beyond, and may your path through the starlight be eternally joyful.
