Bev was a shining star of vitality — in everything she did. Caring, warm, concerned, helpful, and loving…..she loved hard and was loved by many. May her family find peace in that legacy she has left us all.

My first memory of Beverly was at her wedding. I was little but I remember that she gave the wedding cake top to my mother, Emma Lund, to keep in our freezer until their one year anniversary. We had a big freezer in our kitchen and for one year we rearranged our frozen food around that cake. Our family was fortunate enough to have both Bev and Fred for teachers. Great memories of both. Thinking fondly of all of my Wisconsin relatives as I reflect on the life of my "favorite girl cousin". She will be missed) In the past few years, the distance has made it harder to keep in touch, but I remember the many good talks we had when I stayed at her house over the years. As she was 13 years older than me, we really became friends in our more mature years! We shared a love of plants, anything Norwegian, and of course stories about our pets. Any visit I made to Mt. Horeb, included at least a lunch at the Grumpy Troll if not as a welcome guest in her home while I visited other family in the area. Her passing is a loss, to not only family and friends but to the community. She was a "true historian" and could find out the history , good or bad of most residents in the area. I wish now , I had taken better notes! Tomorrow , as you say good bye to Bev, I will be saying my own goodbyes. She will be missed by my girls and Brian, who I think she always favored! Mrs Schwierske was my favorite teacher growing up! She was one my 2nd grade teachers and I always loved her. She knew my grandfather well from bowling or playing cards and it was always fun running into my "teacher" when grandpa met my parents. She was such a beautiful woman in and out.

My wife and I had many a good time with Fred and Bev. She was a very nice lady to say the least.
