When i started working for Northwest Airlines in 1959 i was so fortunate to have the opportunity to work and learn so much from Lyle. He had the patience with customers like no one else and taught me so much in customer service. My sympathy to all the family and he will be missed by many. Ron Holtz

Uncle Lyle always could make me laugh! His smile was genuine and infectious. I fondly remember bike rides around the lake followed by ice-cream! He’ll be sorely missed. Much love to Aunt Sheryl and our cousins. Christi (Davis) O’Brien

Uncle Lyle had a grin that sticks in your mind forever! I have some really fun memories including him being the first person to ever show me how to hold a pool cue and hit some pool balls - all in the Schroeder family basement! I remember Uncle Lyle and my dad sitting in the firelight and cracking jokes as both of our families camped together in Pennsylvania Dutch! I also remember him playing Michigan Rummy at our dining room table in Virginia! ...and always that perpetual smile! To Aunt Sheryl, Debbie, Dan, Doug, David, and Dean... We are sending our love and prayers with many of my fond memories! I'm sure he and dad are sharing some jokes in heaven right now and smiling down upon us all! With love, Kathy Davis Gray, Matthew, Jennifer & Caroline

My brother Lyle was a warm, fine person. I can say this even though he was the typical brother growing up. He had a car with a rumble seat and sometimes would give me a ride. He had a darkroom in our basement for developing photos and allowed me in just once (after I begged to see inside). He also had a great love staying with his grandparents (our mother's parents) on their farm during summers as a teen and helping out with the work. As an adult he always had a quip, a fond greeting, and was always interested in what was happening with your life. He was loved and will be greatly missed. Carol Schneider (nee Schroeder)
