When we were young

Dear Family of Joel Darnell, As I got up this morning I noticed that I never read last Thursday's paper. When I read that Joel had passed I was sad, shocked, and wished I had seen this sooner so I could have visited you in Joel's memory this past Saturday. I am Joel's former Elementary Art teacher for 6 years Mr. Hurst at Frank Allis school still teaching after all these years. You have my families and my sincere condolences. I have all fond memories of Joel here at the Frank Allis Palace and am grateful for opportunity I had by teaching Joel. At school with me Joel was always a good natured tall quiet easy going cooperative patient learner in the creative process . We shared many of life's same passions being fishing, hunting, sports, and camping. I wish I would have ran into Joel over the years, but the web of life takes us all on our own paths. I am happy and proud to have known Joel . My heart goes out to all family and friends as you navigate healing our loss. Best wishes and peace to everyone that knew Joel. Take care ! Steven J.
