I think of the first time we saw you at the hospital on November 11, 1969 when you were born with so much black hair and a long neck! It was really something that when we spoke it was like you heard us and your old neck just turned to follow the voices! Then three days later our Ann was born on November 14. The two of you were so much alike, doing the same things -- just like twins! We saw you, Dad, Mom, Heidi and Steve so often then. I think of all of the Good Neighborfests at your house in Middleton and watching the parade from the front yard! Their are so many wonderful memories that we will hold dear for the rest of our lives. The legacy that you leave behind is how you raised three great kids -- they have and will continue to make you proud of them. You will always be a part of their lives. Dear Mary, Bob, Heidi and family, I saw Dan's Obituary in the paper and just wanted you to know that I am holding you all in my heart with prayers and remembrances during this most difficult time. I lost my brother when he was 58 and thought that was bad. I can't imagine how hard this must be for all of you to lose him so young. Bob, Mary and Sharon, I am so sorry to learn of Dan's passing . No words can take the hurt away or fill the hole left in one's heart. Just know that I am thinking of you and I know what a difficult time it is to get through it. Time makes it easier but we never forget. Carol Hafen
