Daniel J Britt

MADISON-Daniel John Britt, 47, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on October 18th, 2017 following a short illness. Dan graduated from Middleton High School, class of 1987. He owned a painting and maintenance business and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Dan lived for his three beautiful children as they were his whole world. Lake Wisconsin was his favorite place to be with his family and friends- especially when he could keep his boats running and not on fire.  Some of his favorite pastimes were; Thursday night meatballs and mashed potatoes, a cold one at a rock concert, and Fathers Day with his children at a Brewers Game. Dan enjoyed sitting around with his Polish Mafia aunts and cousins at family gatherings. He liked heated debates but if you knew him - his opinions were really the only ones that counted. Dan had the biggest heart and he shared it with all those he loved. We love you Daniel John and can’t imagine our lives without you. He is survived by; his mother Mary Britt, his father Robert (Sharon) Britt, his children Cory Britt, Amanda Britt, and Elizabeth (Corey) Britt, and “daughter” Hannah Kittleson; his siblings Heidi Britt, Steve (Lisa) Britt; niece and nephews Kilah Britt, Ross Hammer, Greg (Angel) Hammer and great niece Olivia Hammer. The family will be hosting a celebration of Dan’s life on Saturday, October 28th at the American Legion Hall in Cross Plains, 2217 American Legion Dr. from 12 – 4.  In lieu of flowers or gifts donations can be made to the family for funeral services.  Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
