When we all set off for Ireland and Scotland, we were on our way to an adventure…we were heading to ‘over the ocean’. We traveled far and saw many amazing things. We also saw some very curious and unexpected things. For Jake, these weren’t good or bad, right or wrong just ‘different’. Wherever we went Jake would like to head out to a local pub to meet the locals and have a bit of the local brew. There was no language barrier or problems in communicating which prevented Jake from making a new friend or two wherever he went. Just a really good guy living and loving life. I will take these memories with me should I go to ‘over the ocean’ or stay right here. I will remember that ‘different’ is okay and that life it meant to be lived. And I will miss him.

Jean, if you see this. I am so very sorry for your loss. You both were a wonderful couple, both lucky to have the other. Remember the wonderful memories and all the times he made you laugh...
