James W Jensen

MIDDLETON-James W. Jensen, age 91, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018, at The Villa at Middleton Village in Middleton. He was born on May 29, 1926, in the Town of Spring Green, Wis., the son of James and Erma (Young) Jensen. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army earning two Bronze Stars and the Korean Service Medal in the Korean conflict.  He was united in marriage to Alberta Crary on Sept. 2, 1953, in Lime Ridge, Wis.  She preceded him in death in 2001.  Jim was employed as a union carpenter and was a member of the Local Union No. 314 for over 66 years.  He had a variety of interests including deer hunting, fishing, woodworking, bingo trips, and he always enjoyed a good game of Euchre. Jim was also an avid Packers, Brewers, and Badger Hockey fan. He was always happy to lend a hand to those in need by sharing his many talents. Above all, he truly treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, James (Sandra), Robert, Donald (Marsha), Michael, Joseph (Carol), John (Sharon) Pertzborn-Jensen, Mary (Juan) Marmolejo, Diane Grunert, Christina Jensen, Patrick , Kathleen (Randy) Gagas and son-in-law, Scott Nimbar; 15 grandchildren, Tyler, Sarah and Amy, Matt and Collin, Gretel and Natasha, Mitchell and David James, Kyle, Devin and Jared, Christian, Brandon and Emma and 4 great grandchildren.  In addition to his wife, Alberta Jensen, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Nimbar; a son, David and a brother, Donald.  Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018, with Father Brian Wilk presiding.  Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 and also on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
