I have so many good memories of Monica. When I became her daughter's roommate, she welcomed me into her home with such kindness and enthusiasm that I felt I had a family space in Wisconsin -- far from my own family in Oregon. Kelly and I spent many fun weekends with Monica and Wilson at the lake cottage, eating delicious home-cooked food and drinking Wilson's wine. Monica and Kelly came to a celebration dinner when I earned my master's degree, and I will never forget her delight when I brought my 2-year old daughter to visit Monica. She was such a lovely person, and my heart goes out to Kelly and her family in this sad time.
