Mary Anne (and family) was our friendly and welcoming neighbor when we moved to Cross Plains during the great ice storm of 1976. She was also a helpful, friendly banker and loaned us daughter, Betsy, to babysit our young daughter. Though many years removed from those days, they have always been a warm presence to this day.
