Janet & Joan, I was so sorry to hear from your Mom',s former neighbors, the Batts, that your Mom was ill. I am a member of the Daylily Society and have always enjoyed my conversations with Evelyn and especially my visits to her garden which was always so beautiful. My deepest sympathy for your loss. Janet -- I'm so sorry for your loss. Although I did not know your mom personally, I have always loved hearing your stories about her flower gardens and her social gatherings which you tended to ! I am truly sorry to hear of Evelyn Thompsons death. We played bridge together for many years and appreciated her extremely beautiful and perfect flowers provided each hostess and when she entertained at her home. She was a fine, kind, friendly and perfect lady at all times, very hospitable and generous and will be truly missed.
