STOUGHTON/MADISON-Sandra R. Younger, age 78, of Stoughton, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018. She was born on Dec. 15, 1939, in Madison, the daughter of William and Mary (Buchanan) Younger. Sandra attended Central High School and later Madison East High School. She worked in the housekeeping department for the University of Wisconsin. Sandra was an avid Packers fan, enjoyed playing bingo and loved watching Tiger Woods play golf. Most of all, she loved taking care of her entire family. Sandra is survived by two sons, Tony (Alicia) Younger and Charles Eldridge, Jr.; two daughters, Michelle (Terry) Daveler and Mary (Wes) Eldridge; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Mary Lou Younger, Bonnie (Rod) Rodriguez, Kristine (Bob) Shields, Lynn Younger, Debra Younger, Robin Younger and Sally (Dale) Madden; five brothers, Robert (Ulrike) Younger, Donald (Gladys) Younger, James Younger, Mark (Cathy) Younger and Ronald Younger; and several nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Younger; daughter, Cindy Olson; three grandchildren, Kyle Olson, Charles Eldridge, III and Robert Daveler; and the father of her children, Charles Eldridge Sr. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr. at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, with Pastor Donald Younger presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. The family wishes to thank the staff of Agrace HospiceCare, the UW Oncology Dept. and Meriter Hospital for all of their wonderful care and support given to Sandra and her family. I just received word from Jesse that you passed.
As I think of the memories of times sitting with you and how welcoming you always were with me. You treated me like I was your own daughter. We shared laughter, joy and some tears and the silly times I'd play with your daughters. You gave your heart for your children. I had always thought about where you had moved to after moving from Williamson Street and wished we could sit at the table again and reminisce and share hugs. When I got word from Tony that you were fighting cancer, I wanted to see you and help in any way I could. I tried to get to you, but I could not as my car stopped running and I'm not able to be in the presence of your final earthly life journey today.
My deepest condolences, prayers of strength and peace are with your children and your family members. You will be in my thoughts, my heart and my spirit today. I love you and will remember you always. Rest in Greatness Sandy. We will see each other again.....
