I’ve known Larry since 1987. What started out as a work relationship morphed into a friendship with shared eating adventures and weekly Weight Watcher meetings, and chance run-ins at the library or Kwik Trip. I loved my Larry-given name and the names and jingles given to my family members. Despite the infrequency of seeing Larry in more recent times it’s been an honor to have known Larry. I’m so glad we saw each other at the WORC party, and especially glad we spoke in December. May his memory always be a blessing. With condolences to the extended Callahan family, Eager Ellen Bauer

To the family of Larry Callahan, My Deepest sympathies. Larry and I grew up as across the street neighbors on Main st. We were in school together. I really liked Larry. He was a big fan of our wrestling team in High school. He had a nickname for everybody and a song to go with it. Mine was always 'Frosty the Snow Goose' and he would sing it to the Frosty the Snowman song.
everytime we saw each other. I ran into him often at Kwik trip, Library ,Grocery store , Walgreens and just all over town. He always took the time to stop and talk to me. I'm smiling thinking of him as I write this. Larry was genuine ,sincere, funny and just a great friend. He did a great Elvis impersonation complete with the swivel hips. Oregon was a better place because Larry was a part of it. I was very fortunate to know him for decades. I will miss seeing him all over town and will especially miss our conversations. He always had a smile and always made me smile and laugh out loud. Thank you Larry. You will not be forgotten. Jim Snow ''Frosty the Snow goose''
