Her son David and I worked together just prior to his going to pilot school. I was a groomsman at his wedding where I met Mrs Showers and the rest of his family. I remember her as being very warm and caring. She had a great smile and was a great hugger. I'm sure Dave will welcome you with a proper "fly by" in your honor. Sue Anne, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Though death is inevitable, losing one's mother is a difficult time. Reading her obituary, I learned that David has passed. I did not know that. I did teach his daughter Annie for a short time when she was in kindergarten at Mt. Horeb. I was her phy. ed. teacher. She was such a nice little girl. If you get a chance, drive by your former home on East Dean Avenue. It has been renovated nicely. May fond memories bring some comfort, and may God richly bless your family. Jerry Thornsen
