Her son David and I worked together just prior to his going to pilot school. I was a groomsman at his wedding where I met Mrs Showers and the rest of his family. I remember her as being very warm and caring. She had a great smile and was a great hugger. I'm sure Dave will welcome you with a proper "fly by" in your honor. Prayers and warm wishes to your family. Steve Roberts

Sue Anne, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Though death is inevitable, losing one's mother is a difficult time. Reading her obituary, I learned that David has passed. I did not know that. I did teach his daughter Annie for a short time when she was in kindergarten at Mt. Horeb. I was her phy. ed. teacher. She was such a nice little girl. If you get a chance, drive by your former home on East Dean Avenue. It has been renovated nicely. May fond memories bring some comfort, and may God richly bless your family. Jerry Thornsen
