David Hoppe

Dave was a great friend and classmate, I have many great memories of grade school and high school that I will always remember and never forget

I remember Mr. Hoppe fondly, he had a true passion for education and invested his heart into his work with students. He spoke so proudly of his family, too. Wishing you peace, Ben and Alex, as you look to the future.

Dave and I worked together at East High, played on the same softball team, and attended Brewers games together. Dave organized many social events and he and Patty introduced me to my future wife Ann. He took a personal interest in all of his students as a guidance counselor and displayed a strong work ethic. He had a positive impact on many lives and will be missed.

Dave and I were colleagues at East High where I enjoyed working with him as he presented guidance information to my classes and counseled students individually. He engaged with students easily with his down-to-earth and friendly presence. I am personally grateful to Dave for his recommendation to volunteer at Overture, which we shared for many years following retirement. Dave was a blessing for many and a true human being.
