A big man with a big smile and heart. I will always remember Gene at at CUNA Mutual as being one of the friendliest execs. there. He treated everyone as an equal and that made an impression on me. I know he will be missed by many and my heart goes out to the family. When losing a loved one, an emptiness takes over your heart. Try to fill that hole with the love and support from your friends and family.

Your mother and father were two of our dearest friends. Your father was deeply loved by many people and he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Many of us agree that Gene Gowan was a kind and compassionate human. He always had that great smile on his face, often stopping to chat for a few minutes. My sympathies to his family and friends. Gene was a great person to work with at CUNA Mutual. He always had time to say HI and stop and chat about what may be happening in your life. I always tried to return the favor. Those are rare qualities today. I always valued Gene's advice and his honesty and trust. Gene is a fond memory for me of Cuna Mutual.
