A big man with a big smile and heart. I will always remember Gene at at CUNA Mutual as being one of the friendliest execs. there. He treated everyone as an equal and that made an impression on me. I know he will be missed by many and my heart goes out to the family. When losing a loved one, an emptiness takes over your heart. Try to fill that hole with the love and support from your friends and family.

Gene was a great person to work with at CUNA Mutual. He always had time to say HI and stop and chat about what may be happening in your life. I always tried to return the favor. Those are rare qualities today. I always valued Gene's advice and his honesty and trust. Gene is a fond memory for me of Cuna Mutual.

Mr. Gowan was one of my dads ( John Sullivan) closest friends. I remember spending time with him and his family on the lake in the summer and him and Mrs . Gowan coming to our house for game nights with my parents. He was a great husband, Father and friend. We will miss him . Jennifer Lewis
