John Page Patterson

I lived next door to Mr. Patterson for most of my childhood. I remember him always being so friendly with my brother and I. Even though there was sort of a fence that separated the yards he didn't mind if we went into his yard for whatever reason. He was always one of the nicest in the neighborhood. I knew John through being an a Wayland Alumina and sang in the choir with him. We always shared memories of Wayland. He was very proud of having John Patterson Way for a year on the circle drive at Wayland. Elaine Koehn

Mr. Patterson was the BEST English teacher I had while at Wayland. I often read the paper or listen to broadcasters, and ask myself, "Did they not learn proper English!?" He was one the best teachers Wayland ever had, and I was so lucky to have been one of his many pupils. And I never knew he was a Wisconsin native! I extend my sincere sympathy to your family.
