My deepest condolences to his family. Mr. Holzwarth was my late father's shipmate on the USS Valley Forge. Last year, after I had had my father's Navy photos published in the Korean War Veterans Association magazine along with some questions I had, Mr. Holzwarth was the first person to call me at home to try to answer my questions. When I thanked him at the end of the phone call, he said, "I'd do anything for a shipmate." I'll never forget that moment. I was able to meet him once at the Valley Forge reunion in San Diego last fall. He was a true gentleman. Bob Dial, Glenville, NY.
