"Buck was a good OL boy from the good OL days" And there are not too many left from an era when the police were not just police. They were friends when you needed them, and protectors of the community. My deepest sympathy to Buck's family. Mike Brown

If you look up how a police officer should do his job and how they should treat people both on and off duty there would be a picture of Buck Pledger. I am glad that I knew him. I have tremendous respect for Buck. Top notch, first class man. My deepest sympathy goes out to his entire family and all his friends. ''Don't cry because he has left you.. Smile because you had him''.. Respectfully, Jim Snow.

Julie Baglama--I had the pleasure of working with Buck first on the Dane County Traffic Department and eventually on the Sheriff's Office. He was a hard worker, knowledgeable , and friendly officer/detective--I could always count on him for advice and follow-up. I cannot make the funeral and wish I could. My sympathies to family and friends.

I grew up down the street from Buck's family & remember they had a pet monkey. I went down to visit & the monkey bit me. Also in high school industrial arts wood shop, I was with him the day he cut the end of a finger off in the jointer. Buck was a great guy & sure sorry it was his time to go. Times sure have changed from the days of growing up in Oregon. Rest in Peace. John Wischhoff
