Mary C. Getter

Mary was a kind mentor and coach when I was just starting out in the working world as a young single parent at TDS many years ago. She was kind, patient and friendly as she trained me to share duties with her in the data tape processing functions then new on the office scene. She and Don invited me and others to the house to socialize outside office hours. Years later I thought of Mary and her kindness when I was frustrated on other jobs. She really was a special person. Mary and Don were helpful and supportive to my daughter and me during a difficult time. They helped us at home, which enabled me to work without worrying that the place was going to fall down around our ears. I remember when you two used a rake to get all of the Easter grass from my daughter's Easter basket off of the living room floor. Your reliability, kindness, and sense of humor were greatly appreciated. Go well, Mary. Heaven has another angel. Beth Walters
