Obituary

MADISON –John T. Hadsell, age 79, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital, the son of John and Mary Hadsell. John graduated from Triadelphia, W.V. in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army for two years. He married Margaret, the love of his life, on Aug. 20, 1960. John received his Bachelor of Science and Arts degree at UW-Madison in Economics in 1961. He worked for IBM for two years, UW-Madison for 24 years and retired as a self-employed consultant after 10 years. John was an avid golfer, celebrating a hole in one, coached youth football and baseball, inspiring many kids, and enjoyed gardening and woodworking. Neighborhood friendships were very important to John and he also loved his family very much. He is survived by his wife, Margaret of 55 years; children, Mike (Deana), Joe (Jennifer), Dan, Jill (Dave) and Bill (Jennifer); 12 grandchildren, Matt, John, Beth, Ava, James, Tom, Alex, Bill, Mary, A.J., Mason and Jacob; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Gary Hadsell of W.V., sister-in-law, Therese Massey of WI; and many beloved family and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Tom; and sister-in-law, Sharon. Per John's wishes, no services will be held. The family requests no donations be made. To whom it may concern, Having lived in the same neighborhood as youths we were close friends and continued that relationship thru adulthood. We would have a long visit when he returned to Wheeling, WV for his 1954 H/S class reunions. Also, I remember his brother and parents. Their old family home still stands and when I pass the residence many fond memories flash by. Ron Miller
