I worked with Lee at Veterans Affairs. He was a wonderful gentleman, upbeat and charismatic. Just one hell of a good guy. Goodbye Lee.

I worked with Lee at the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs loan program. Lee always had a soft spot in his heart for veterans' widows with credit problems. Lee would always try to find a way to help a veteran or a widow. He had a kind heart, a great laugh and was a great friend. After he retired, I jokingly created the Lee Henry Memorial Loan program for widows with bad credit. Lee made us focus on what was important, helping people. My sympathy. Lee was a good man and he is missed.

I worked with Lee at Veterans Affairs for many years as a fellow loan analyst. I also played golf in a State league foursome with Lee every week and after we would play Sheepshead in the Clubhouse. We also golfed many rounds on weekends at Yahara Hills as well. I remember one Saturday we played 18 holes and when we finished the first nine it was pushing 100 degrees and Lee was just a bouncing around the course. We then played the back nine and when finished it was 103 degrees. We carried our bags in those days and Gary Nolden and I were shot and dragging our bags, and I think Lee could have went another nine. We would also get together after work with our fellow employees and if Lee wasn't one of the instigators, he still was always there. Will always remember Lee's positive attitude and that smile. We worked hard and also had a lot of fun together when not in the office. Rest in Peace Lee. Bob Buhr.
