Diane Bernadette Fleming

Diane left her mark on hundreds of students, peers and friends; and although I didn't meet her until her last year of life, she has left her mark on me as well. A part of her lives on in her sons, and will remain with all who knew her. God bless the warm and wonderful memories. Ann

Diane was my elementary art teacher at Elvehjem Elementary in the late 60s/early 70s. I went on to become a graphic designer and later an art teacher myself. Diane was a big influence in my life both as an artist and a teacher and is one of the reasons I am still teaching art today. I had the fortunate experience recently of getting reconnected and also visiting her at Hospice with my dog. Thanks Diane for your guidance and the memories. You will be missed by many.

Diane was a gifted and professional teacher and a proud parent. Her high standards are reflected in her students and family. I was fortunate to have had many of her former students- and her son Sean in my classes at La Follette. Diane will be missed by all. May her sons carry on with her graciousness and high ideals.
