Eric Weber

I first met Eric as part of a program matching people for friendship, and it grew into a friendship that lasted more than 30 years. At the time he was living at Orchard Hill on Fish Hatchery Rd. We met over a cup of coffee at the McDonalds right there. Since then we have had many cups of coffee together. We did a lot of things together over the years, usually starting with supper at Ponderosa until they closed. After that we had many Rocky's pizzas together. I have a photo of Eric and I in front of the Ponderosa sign on E. Washington Ave. on the occasion of our 25th anniversary together. He was quite a jolly guy and we had a lot of laughs together.

I remember Eric when we lived at 916 E. Gorham St, Madison in the 1960s. I read a Wisconsin State Journal article written about Eric a few years ago and his knowledge of sports. I was impressed. I wish I could have talked with him in recent years. My condolences.
